How to pour wine

There are many ways to pour wine into the decanter, but which one is the correct way of pouring? For the vintage wine, before you open it, it is better to take 3 days for precipitating. This can help the sediments gathered in the bottom of the bottle.

When you want to drink wine, you need to avoid shaking it before the opening, moving it smoothly and carefully each time. Wipe the bottle lip with a clean wet cloth after you open it,then wipe again with your napkin. Then you need to hold the wine bottle steadily with one hand, using an other hand to open the stopper carefully and to try to keep the bottle stable, so that the sediment will not be stir up.

When you pouring, you can use a small flashlight or candle to light up the bottle for seeing whether the sediment have been poured. At this time, you also need to keep the  decanter maintain a certain angle with bottle, and pour very slowly but not pour into the decanter vertically to hit the wine together with the residue.
